Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I get a SmartLaundry card?
A: Your card is issued by the management of the property where you live.

Q: How much will I pay to use this system?
A: Other than the cost of each washload, there is no other cost to you. Many properties, however, may request a small deposit to ensure that residents are careful not to lose their cards. This is up to the owners/managers of your property.

Q: What happens if I lose my card?
A: You will need to see your property manager to get another card, and you might have to pay a small fee to cover the cost of the replacement. Also, money that was on the lost card cannot be recovered. That's why we limit the total card value to $50.

Q: What if my card is stolen (or lost card picked up by someone)?
A: You will definitely lose the value that was on the SmartLaundry card, as described above. But the value on the card can ONLY be used to run washers and dryers equipped with SmartLaundry readers. If another resident (who knows where and how to use the card) happened to pick it up, they would only be able to use the amount that was stored on the card when you lost it. They would not be able to rack up additional charges on your LaundryMoney account.

Q: I've misplaced my LaundryMoney code number. What can I do?
A: Just Login to www.laundrymoney.com, and click on "Lookup Previous Transactions." Print the page, or write down the code number in a place where you can find it easily. For maximum security, don't keep the code number and SmartLaundry card together until you're ready to use them. If you carry them with you and lose both, you could end up paying for a neighbor to do their laundry! It's unlikely this would happen, but you should know that it is possible.

Q: How can I find out how much money is on my SmartLaundry card?
A: Just insert your card in any laundry machine or SmartLaundry terminal, and it will show your balance.
